Youth Leading Change for a Greener, Healthier Tomorrow
Empowering a Generation of Climate and Health Advocates
we are actively driving our project, “Youth Leading Change for a Greener, Healthier Tomorrow,” supported by the Youth Empowerment Fund. On the ground in Monze, Zambia, our initiative is tackling the critical, interconnected challenges of climate change and reproductive health, transforming at-risk youth into powerful leaders and advocates for their communities.
Our core mission is to cultivate a new generation of young leaders who use innovative, practical methods to transform their communities. We are fighting for significant policy changes and delivering measurable improvements in both sustainability and well-being. The project is currently On Track and making excellent progress toward its goals, powerfully demonstrating the impact of youth-led solutions in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Climate Action (SDG 13) and Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3).
“Before the workshops, I didn’t see how climate change affected my health. Now, I’m not just learning; I’m teaching my friends and family. I feel like a real leader.”

| Direct Beneficiaries | 413 people supported | Exceeded initial targets, with 387 being youth aged 14-30. |
| National Recognition | Featured on National Broadcasting Channel (ZNBC) | Raised public awareness of the integrated climate-health approach across the nation. |
| Sustainable Health | 302 sustainable sanitary pads donated | Directly linked reproductive health support with environmental sustainability for girls and young women. |
Action in Progress: What We Are Doing Now
Our success is built on a foundation of clearly defined activities. We are proud to report that many are now complete, and the rest are in full swing:
Completed Milestones
- Targeted Engagement: We successfully mapped and engaged vulnerable youth and at-risk groups, ensuring our efforts reach those who need them most.
- Community Education: We conducted powerful awareness sessions in schools and youth centers on how climate change impacts reproductive health.
Current Focus Areas
- Health Services and Information: We are continuously sharing tailored health information during school and youth center engagements.
- Peer Educator Training: Youth participants have been identified, and their training to become peer educators on climate action and reproductive health is actively ongoing.
- Advocacy Training: Initial sessions on advocating for integrated climate-health policies have been conducted, with more advanced sessions scheduled.
- Sustainable Product Promotion: We are continuing the promotion and distribution of sustainable menstrual products.
What’s Next: The Road to Lasting Change
The next phase of the project will see the completion of our peer educator and advocacy training, culminating in youth-led campaigns designed to influence local policies. We are confident that by the project’s scheduled completion in January 2026, we will have established a lasting framework for integrated climate and health action led by empowered youth in Zambia.
