Youth Governance and Policy Mandate
We don’t just engage; we establish and occupy decision-making spaces. We empower youth to lead in climate and health governance by mandating their participation in national policy processes, advocating for health in climate agendas, and driving accountability across multisectoral platforms. Our young leaders are shaping the laws and institutionalizing the frameworks for climate-resilient health systems.
We transform passion into expertise. Through peer-to-peer training, accredited courses, and hands-on mentorship, we equip young people with high-value skills: from assessing climate-health vulnerabilities and integrating climate data into public health to developing community-level adaptation plans. Our programs prepare the next generation of certified leaders to reinforce health systems.
We champion youth-led, evidence-based research as a tool for accountability and change. By leveraging Citizen Science, innovative digital technologies, and participatory methods, young people turn community-based data into disruptive interventions. We bridge the gap between science and policy, ensuring insights from the ground inform and guide decision-makers.
We mobilize youth as First Responders and Health System Reinforcements during climate-related crises. Leveraging our health science background, we strengthen preparedness and rapid response through simulation exercises, supporting early warning systems, and coordinated, community-focused action. We ensure that when climate disasters strike, the health system is not just ready, but youth-reinforced.
We are the Trusted Messengers who ensure no community is left behind. We engage youth to design culturally relevant campaigns that translate complex climate science into local action and promote preventive health practices. Crucially, we act as a conduit to elevate and amplify local and indigenous knowledge to the national policy level, ensuring a two-way flow of communication.
We connect youth-led solutions with equitable and accessible resources. By securing innovative financing through public-private collaborations and dedicated climate-health funds, we de-risk youth-led projects and ensure investments translate into lasting impact. We are building a sustainable financial ecosystem where young African innovators can thrive and scale solutions.
