WHO WE ARE

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English.

WHAT DRIVES US

Climate change is already the single biggest health threat facing Africa. Between 2001 and 2021, more than half of all public health events on the continent were linked to climate change, including the spread of malaria and other vector-borne diseases into new areas, waterborne outbreaks after floods, food and nutrition insecurity with projected 20–30% declines in crop yields by 2050, heat-related illnesses, and rising mental health burdens due to displacement and trauma. These crises hit young people hardest, affecting education, livelihoods, and long-term health outcomes.

Yet, youth are not just victims — we are essential actors in the climate-health response. In the face of this reality, our network exists to put young people at the center of solutions. We harness the energy, innovation, and leadership of African youth to build climate-resilient health systems, bridge the gap between science and communities, and advance a “One Health” approach that recognizes the interconnected well-being of people, animals, and the environment

We believe youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but the driving force of today — uniting across borders to safeguard Africa’s health in a changing climate.
